---A problem is presented from Unit R Concept 3 which is trig of an inverse trig function using sum and difference to prove. This is a Type 2 problem in which we find the value of the expression without using a calculator. Reference will be made to the unit circle and we will be using prior knowledge from this unit. The picture goes over an example problem and shows how to solve it step by step.
What does the viewer need to play close attention to in order to do the problem correctly?
---One really important to take into consideration when solving this problem is that we have to remember how to undo an inverse function. It is important to remember that the opposite of sin-1 is sin and by multiplying them together we get one.
---Another important thing to remember when solving this is to also take into consideration that when we use quadrant angles from the unit circle there can be some ambiguity. However for this problem since we are given the sign of the one we can easily identify what angle it corresponds to.
